These are some of the commonly asked questions about our Writing hype service. If you have a question that isn't answered here, please feel free to reach out to us to ask!
Is Writing Hype an editing serivce? Short answer, no! We do not edit work. The point of Writing Hype is to help writers build confidence and feel supported. We do not check grammar, sentence structure, character developement, etc. That's for an editior. We are just here to show you some love!
So, I'm paying you to be nice to me? Isn't that what friends and family are for? Your friends and family can be a great resource, however there are some people that are embarassed to share their work with those close to them, or they don't have a support system, or they want someone who doesn't know them personally to confirm their work is good. T You aren't paying us to be nice to you-- you are paying a small fee for our time. Us being nice is just what we do!
Will you read romanace, smut, memiors, resumes, emails, poetry, a resignation letter, etc? We do ask that you provide trigger warnings, if appropriate, however we will read anything that isn't hateful. We do reserve the right to reject a piece of work if it is homophobic, racist, xenophobic, ableist, etc. If a piece is rejected for any reason, you will recieve a refund.
What if I don't like the feedback you provide? The purpose of Writing Hype is to provide a list of things we love about your work. That being said, its our opinion! We try to provide detailed and purposeful feedback on your work. Unforunately, we cannot issue refunds if you disagree with our opinion. Refunds are only issued if we chose not to read your piece for any reason.
Can I use the feedback I get as a review? No, sorry! If you get a review from Writing Hype, it is NOT intented to be a review or endorsement and should not be quoted for any kind of promotion, blurb, etc.
